Wentworth Angels spread cheer with birthday celebration

Wentworth Angels visited and donated food hampers in the community.

THE Founder of Wentworth Angels, Tracey Williams, celebrated her mother’s 86th birthday by spreading cheer among families from in and around the area.

Thursday, 10 September marked Barbara Williams’ special day and as such, her daughter and her team mobilised to assist families with bedridden loved ones. The octogenarian is bedridden and a dementia patient.

“My mom loved assisting wherever she could but things were different this year after her health deteriorated, but I am blessed and thought I could bless others through the eyes of my mom in her honour. I would like to thank my sponsors, team and family who came together to make this day special.”

“We met at Austerville Park and delivered to the disabled moms in the community. I’ve always been taught to give without wanting to receive. We are not funded but God always makes sure that we have an overflow. Thank you to all our sponsors and donors out there as well as my special friends who walk with me, pray and guide me. May you all be blessed,” said Tracey.

“Appreciation and acknowledging is what we believe in. I would like to honour my team for standing with me and going the extra mile for the feeding scheme that we still continue through lockdown.”

“All the preparation and going on the road daily to make a difference and positive impact in many lives. I thank you for all the assistance and voluntary work you’ve dedicated your time to,” she added.

The feeding scheme group still needs assistance with the sponsorship of food items and donations of any kind are welcome. More details can be found on the Wentworth Angels Facebook page, call Tracey on 074-703-1393 or send an e-mail at wentworthangels@yahoo.com.
