Local clinics receive much-needed donation

Wentworth Hospital Gateway Clinic and Merebank Clinic were blessed with a worthy donation of PPE and other essential medical supplies recently.

THE Wentworth Hospital Gateway Clinic and Merebank Clinic were blessed with a worthy donation of PPE and other essential medical supplies by Proline Auto Paints in partnership with Helping Hands NPO and Ward 68 Operation Sukuma Sakhe (OSS) on Wednesday, 19 August.

Director of Proline Auto Paints, Kogie Pillay said the company strongly believes that the hands that service are holier than the lips that pray. As such, they have been part of many charity drives that feed and clothe the underprivileged. Kogie also dedicates her time by serving Helping Hands as the organisation’s PRO.

“I believe that it is the shared responsibility of our society to help those in need without passing judgement or criticism. The world needs more kindness and unconditional love to be spread,” she said.

“We appreciate the frontline workers for their sacrifice and dedication in serving our communities during this pandemic. We should all assist by washing our hands and staying at home to lessen the workload of these essential workers. Level two of lockdown is for the economy to recover but the pandemic is still rife. All the best to all the awesome role players for your assistance, generosity and dedication and take care keep safe,” said Ward 68 OSS convener Sharin Rajman. Sharin together with ward 68 OSS secretary Neil Axford extend their thanks to Kogie for her kind gesture and sponsoring of hot meals to the staff of both these clinics.

Manager of Wentworth Hospital Gateway Clinic, Sr Renette Roskruge extended her heartfelt thanks to all the stakeholders for their contribution to the health facility which serves the community.
