Police educate community on social issues
Wentworth police Social Crime Prevention and Corporate Communications in partnership with the Wentworth Victim Friendly Centre joined forces on an educational and awareness campaign on Wednesday, 19 August.
WENTWORTH police Social Crime Prevention and Corporate Communications in partnership with the Wentworth Victim Friendly Centre joined forces on an educational and awareness campaign on Wednesday, 19 August.
Campaign coordinator, Jenny Gomes together with other police members, distributed pamphlets on gender based violence, child safety and protection, firearm safety and Covid-19 in Wentworth.
“This initiative was done to sensitise women and children safety during the month of August. Men are reminded that they need to protect women and children every day, not only during Women’s Month,” said Wentworth police spokesperson, Captain Mbuso Gumede.
