#MandelaDay: Centre’s meals add hope for the hungry

Two hundred meals were made and donated as an addition to the 1 000 meals ward 66's Vulnerable Groups and Gender Committee distributed on the day.

BLUFF’S caring husband and wife duo marked their Mandela Day with a scrumptious spaghetti and mince lunch for those who need.

Adam and Lorraine David of the Bluff Hope Centre, with a group of volunteers, set the heat in the kitchen to make 200 meals. The meals were donated as an addition to the 1 000 meals ward 66’s Vulnerable Groups and Gender Committee distributed on the day.

“We are grateful to all our donors who make our work possible. The reality is that a lot of people are without food every day and our work is of passion and compassion.”

“Through our work, we have been able to demonstrate God’s love to all those we serve,” said the couple, who have been running their centre for four years.
