Hot meals organisation grateful to sponsors

Founder, Tracey Williams said taking care of a community takes patience, love and a lot of time to listen and to pray with them.

WENTWORTH Angels have expressed heartfelt gratitude to all its sponsors who have been on board since the beginning of lockdown.

“We thank the company that privately sponsored 100 grocery hampers to the organisation for homes in the community, as well as Anne Marie Wilkins, who has been following us on social media for many years and assisting with grocery parcels. Your act of kindness doesn’t go unnoticed.”

“The company wished to remain anonymous, but has continued supporting us due to our transparency and dedication to our community work,” said the organisation’s Tracey Williams, who said their faith in God saw them overcome the many challenges they face along the way.

“We continue to try to keep unity and serve our people with unconditional love and dedication. We have been feeding the community long before the pandemic and continue to serve our people.”

“I’ve always believed in giving the community what I will eat. Food needs to be prepared with love. We have been able to feed and assist other communities like Bellair, Yellowwood Park, Ifafa Beach, and Newlands East and as far as Johannesburg, nobody is turned away,” she added.

She said taking care of a community takes patience, love and a lot of time to listen and also pray with them. She urged schools to go beyond just screening learners as the spread of coronavirus continues to increase.

“Our children are important to us, they are our future generation and I would like to encourage the schools to have tests done instead of just screenings as some teachers have tested positive.”

“Our children need these teachers because they can’t become somebody if they don’t have an education backing them,” she said.

The organisation accepts donations of any kind as these help their plight immensely. If you would like to assist the organisation in any way, contact Tracey Williams on 074-703-1393.
