No Covid-19 testing being done [LETTER]

Must we, as the public create a partition to get tested?

EDITOR – The below message was sent yesterday, (17 May) to the Covid-19 WhatsApp group out of frustration.
Firstly, I want to know why isn’t there enough testing being done in KZN? I have family and friends in most parts of KZN but none of them have been tested yet. Also, a number of people in the Bluff area that fell sick had to call the authorities for them to be tested and were announced positive.
That was just one of my messages. No testing done in areas such as Merebank, Bluff, Isipingo, Lotus Park, Wentworth, Queensburgh, Malvern, Escombe, Chatsworth, Shellcross, Phoenix, Verulam, Mount Edgecombe, Durban North, Morningside, Berea, Umhlanga and Newlands West and East.
I’m sure that there’s more areas that hasn’t done any testing except for the people that fell sick in these areas and personally called for help from the necessary authorities to be tested.
Must we, as the public create a partition to get tested? SA being the highest in Africa and reaching the top 20 in the world. In a few weeks to come, we might even reach the top spot if the government carries on like this.
