Wentworth support group offers a shoulder to lean on

BAFDT founder Audrey Anderson, has sort to use technology to reach out and offer counselling services to the community.

LIKE many organisations, BAFDT Community Support Group, has had to close its doors during the lockdown. But not one to ignore her calling to help and support those in need, founder Audrey Anderson has sort to use technology to reach out and offer counselling services to the community.

“We are providing a Whatsapp service for all community members that are feeling overwhelmed during this lockdown. I have received quite a few calls and messages from people who have not been able to deal with the effects of the lockdown. Psychologically, people are feeling depressed and alone. Some are in desperate need to interact with others. So I have availed our services to the community, for anyone who needs to someone to talk to. They are more than welcome to communicate with me. Services are available to people of all ages, adults and children. We are here to attend to everyone’s needs during this hard time,” she said.
