KZN chairman of Drone Racing Club, Brett Bakke said the day was to get a feel of what drone flying would be like in the south of Durban.

“Today is a fun day and not so much about racing. It’s for people to learn the track and get a feel for what drone racing is about. On a normal race day, we would have six pilots on the line at once and would display some good racing. We will have an event on the last Sunday of every month, the venues will be the Harlequins Sports Club and Thomas More College,” he said.

Brett added that his son holds a number two ranking in the country and that he had been over seas to compete in the world championships. Drone enthusiasts wanting to join the Drone Racing Club can call Brett on 083-275-2419 for more information.
