UPDATE: Montclair woman dies after brutal stabbing

At this time the reason for the stabbing is not clear but it appears to be domestic related.

A MONTCLAIR woman has died following a stabbing incident outside Montclair Mall this afternoon (Tuesday, 10 December).

“We received a frantic alert and phone calls for assistance from one of our Montclair Crime Eye (MCE) members on the group  that a stabbing had occurred in the Montclair Mall back parking area,” said Brenda Neal, MCE founder.

According to the MCE who were on scene, a man stabbed the female and she started bleeding profusely. “MCE admins contacted the ambulance, police and security companies who responded to the scene. The suspect was surrounded by the community and handed over to Security Force who in turn handed him over to the police. Ambulances responded and attended to the victim who sustained multiple stab wounds to her chest, back and hand. She was stabilised on scene before being taken to King Edward hospital. At this time the reason for the stabbing is not clear but it appears to be domestic related. Our deepest condolences to her family and friends,” explained Brenda.
