Small turn out for Woodlands BC’s weekend shirts and skirts competition

On Saturday, 2 November, Colin Bawson will provide eats for those that will be at the club to watch the final between South Africa and England.

Sunday, 27 October, dawned overcast and humid weather for the shirts and skirts competition at Woodlands Bowling Club.

As the rugby semifinal was being played, there wasn’t as good a turn out as they had hoped, but at least 12 ends were played. First overall winners were visitors Duncan Buckthorp and Mark Vermeulen and second overall winners were Rina Harper and Linda Hewer.

Linda Hewer also won the 60/40 board and Cabous van Rensburg won the meat raffle.

On Friday night, 25 October, Derek Botha’s name was drawn for the snowball, but alas he was not present so it is a carry over to next Friday night, 1 November, and it stands at R200. First prize for the meat draw went to Gordon Tarboton, second to Lizzy Nicholls and third to Harold Diz.
