Braai Day makes a difference to local charities [PHOTOS]

"Thank you to everyone who participated and made the day a success," said Hestie Swanepoel of Rawson Properties.

RAWSON Properties Bluff hosted a Braai Day with a difference on Tuesday, 24 September. The Harlequins Sports Club was abuzz on the bright and humid day with children, including those of Isiaiah 54 Children’s Sanctuary, on the field competing against each other in various sport codes. Bark Angel was also a part of the day’s festivities bringing along cute puppies.

“This was our way of giving back to the community, we wanted to do something that both adults and children could enjoy, but the event was especially for the children and the dogs of Bark Angel. As a result, they received two applications for the adoption of the puppies that were there. We didn’t get much food as we expected for our pet food drive, but every bit helps and we are grateful to those who donated. Thank you to everyone who participated and made the day a success,” said Hestie Swanepoel of Rawson Properties.

Hestie thanked Rawson Properties Bluff, Jensen Attorneys, Grand Rapids Spur, Jaco the Clown, AMS Attorneys, Pizza Shack Yellowwood Park, Mosaic Funeral Group and Pravin Naicker.

“A big thank you to Hestie and her team who organised such a wonderful Braai Day. The children had an amazing day, with all the games that were played, as well as the food. It was a day to remember,” said Glynnis Dauth of Isiaiah 54 Children’s Sanctuary.

Debbie Moss of Bark Angel attested to the wonderful day all the animal rescue volunteers had in the field. “It was awesome to meet some of the Bark Angel’s followers. A huge thank you to Hestie for holding this event as well as the Harlequins Sports Club. Our sincere gratitude for their kindness and generosity,” she said.
