FIRE department station commander, Radesh Sunnylal said that the scene was a blazing inferno all around. “We started fighting the fire in four directions with the fire fighters strategically placed. Our priority was to save the people and the possessions on the premises. Whatever scrap was on the premises was burnt but we managed to contain all the cars in the scrapyard. We cannot speculate how the fire started, but we can confirm that there were no injuries at the scene, ” he said.
