Bowls fun day proves to be a success at Woodlands Bowling Club

On Wednesday, 2 October, the club will host the any pairs competition.

On a lovely cool but sunny Sunday, 29 September, the Woodlands Bowling Club hosted another fun day and what a turnout it was.

In first place was Claude Newman and his team on +12 and in second place was Mike Freeman and his team on a +8. Jeff Bolt and his team got the booby prize on -12. Hestie Swanepoel, a non-bowler, had five jack touches with Barbara Gordon having two touches and Reon Steyn also getting two touches. Hanno Blom won the R40 money board with Jeff Bolt taking the R20. Three swindle sheets were sold with Jeff Bolt, Bill Hewer and Gerda Viljoen each winning R30.

On Wednesday, 2 October, the club will host the any pairs competition. To enter a team, contact Linda Hewer on 082-724-6575 and on Thursday, 3 October, the casual 4’s breakfast will take place. To enter a team, contact Andy Cloete on 083-987-9611.
