A BLUFF senior has been found dead and in a decomposed state this morning by Durban Metro Police Search and Rescue following reports from concerned neighbours.

The deceased, whose body was found in her house, is an elderly woman believed to be 77-years-old. “It is believed that she had two males living with her who said that they would help her renovate her home,” said Sewpersad.

According to Sewpersad the woman was struck with a blunt object. Her body was wrapped in a carpet and placed in a bathtub. “It appears that these men also tried to set the woman alight and fled the scene thereafter.”

The said suspects have since disappeared and a case of murder has been opened at Brighton Beach SAPS. The police will investigate the incident.
