Boost your iron levels with these delicious five vegan meals.

Making the decision to eliminate animal products from your diet is a big step indeed, considering how many lives you will be sparing, as well as what you’re doing for the environment, it’s an amazing change to make to your lifestyle.

Many automatically assume that without animal products, one will suffer from malnutrition. “Where do you get your protein from?” is definitely the most asked question from those not in the knowing.

  5. Kale and sweet potato salad  – 11mg iron per serving

If you’re suffering with the below symptoms, you may be suffering from an iron deficiency or just need to become more conscious about and increase your iron intake: 

  1. general fatigue
  2. weakness
  3. pale skin
  4. shortness of breath
  5. dizziness
  6. strange cravings to eat items that aren’t food, such as dirt, ice, or clay
  7. a tingling or crawling feeling in the legs
  8. tongue swelling or soreness
  9. cold hands and feet
  10. fast or irregular heartbeat
  11. brittle nails
  12. headaches
