NELSON Mandela International Day means leaving people in a better state than what you found them. These sentiments were echoed at St Monica’s Child and Youth Care Centre on Thursday, 18 July. During the Sun’s visit to the home on the day, local businesses came in with necessities and goodies which put a smile on every child’s face.

He said he wanted the children to take with them the spirit of never giving up. “We firmly believe in giving, with Tata giving the best he could for freedom in South Africa, this is why we’ve taken this opportunity to come and give back to St Monica’s Home,” said Moksha.
“Our company fully supports this day so I’m here to spend time and interact with the kids,” said donor, Ashika Singh of CCG Systems.

Staff at the home were elated with the gifts and were appreciative of the shower of kindness. “I’m thankful and grateful that this day turned out so good.
