Two mighty quins compete in Comrades

Time trials are held on every Wednesday at 5.45pm

Two runners from Harlequins Harriers Athletics Club participated in the Comrades Marathon on Sunday, 9 June.

Nana Mazibuko and Marlin Wilson completed the grueling up run from Durban to Pietermaritzburg. The top three runners final time trial results before the Comrades were recorded on Wednesday, 5 June, a distance of 4.7km down run. Rob Lagane finished first in a time of 21.14, with Michael Taylor finishing second in a personal best time of 21.50 and Jason Wilson finishing third in a time of 22.32.

The fixture list for 2019 has been sent by email to all registered members. Hard copy fixture books can be collected from Marlin Wilson or Judy Conlin after time trials. 2019 ASA licences are still available to collect after time trials. For those runners who haven’t already submitted their paperwork, bring the completed registration form, copy of ID and licence fee.

Time trials are held on every Wednesday at 5.45pm, starting at Bluff National Golf Club in Club Drive. All are welcome. All runners are urged to wear light clothing and/ or reflective belts while out on the roads. See and be seen, and stay safe. Runners should advise the timekeeper if you are unsure of the route.
