Avoid isolated areas, warns Montclair SAPS

Recent attacks at the park have raised some cause for concern

MONTCLAIR police warn all motorists and pedestrians in the community to avoid isolated spots after dark, especially the Wood Road sports ground which is also known as Montclair grounds.

Recent attacks at the park have raised some cause for concern following a murder on Tuesday, 15 August and more recently, a hijacking on Monday, 28 August.
At about 9.30pm on Monday, a couple were attacked when they were parked at the Montclair grounds. A man attacked the driver with what looked like a gun. The couple left the vehicle and managed to escape the attack.
