NPC Intercement Durban, NPC Aggregate, Margate and NPC Simuma Plant, Oribi immediately put a plan into action to help these devastated communities. With the help of their ward councillors and organisations like Abounding Hope, they organized food parcels and blankets for over 172 families that were the hardest hit by the floods in these aforementioned areas.

“Thank you so much to NPC Intercement and staff for bringing hope, food and warmth to our families in the communities of Masinenge and Murchison during such a disastrous flood aftermath” said Mirrian Lunika from Siyaphambili Creche in Masinenge who also played a role in helping the cement company identify the families in the community that were hardest hit and had the greatest need of assistance and support.

“It is reassuring to know that when disaster hit our communities we have companies like NPC and like-minded organization that come together to assist and build back our neighbourhood and support the families that need us the most,” added Mirrian.
