The South African national and provincial government elections 2019 (NGE2019) have been proclaimed for Wednesday, 8 May.

You can SMS your ID number (only the number) to 32810 at a cost of R1 per SMS and you will receive an electronic response to confirm if and where you are registered, or visit the website at www.election.org.za and type in your ID number to confirm registration status.

You should register at the voting station closest to your home address, but make sure the voting station is within the ward where you reside. The following voting stations exist in the South Durban area:
Ward 64
- Yellowwood Park Civic Centre
- Yellowwood Park Primary School
- New Forest High School
- Montclair Recreational Hall
- Montclair Senior Primary
- St Raphael’s Special School
Ward 66
- Treasure Beach Seaside fund
- Glenardle Primary School
- Dirkie Uys Primary School
- Grosvenor Girls high
- St Gerards Daycare
- Bushlands Primary
- Durban Academy
