KZN police crack down on unlicensed firearms

The firearms were all sent in for ballistic testing.

A number of firearms were confiscated and 28 suspects were arrested during the Easter weekend in KwaZulu-Natal.

Police coducted roadblock operations across KZN from 14 to 20 April.

READKZN police confiscates illegal firearms and ammunition

A total of 25 illegal firearms, including pistols and homemade firearms, were recovered. 207 rounds of ammunition were also confiscated and 28 suspects were arrested for being in illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

The firearms were all sent in for ballistic testing

The police appeal to residents to report those that have illegal firearms irrespective of who they are as these illegal firearms are commonly used in serious crimes including stock theft, taxi and political related cases.
