Nature talk for Stainbank Women’s Institute

THE Stainbank Women’s Institute welcomed guest speaker André Steenkamp who encourages nature drives and a wild life experience to their meeting on Tuesday, 2 April.

Stainbank WI’s president, Arlene Greenfield, opened the meeting with a big welcome to all the members. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed and then the treasurer, Linda Hewer, kept everyone up to date with the finances, reminding the members that fees are now due.

Phyllis Parsonage was able to attend and received the prizes which she obtained for the many competitions she enters every month.

Stainbank WI will be hosting a fête on Wednesday, l May at the Yellowwood Park sports ground. All members are asked to assist with edible goodies and donations. Yellowwood Park Women’s Institute will be hosting their annual group meeting (AGM) on Monday, 29 April. Members are urged to make every effort to attend and to enter the competitions.

Phyllis was congratulated on celebrating 66 years of marriage.

The meeting ended with the WI prayer and the wish to go safe. The meeting is open to all women in the area. Stainbank Women’s Institute meet on the first Tuesday of the month at 9.30am at the Woodlands Sports Club.
