JUST IN: Three injured in Jacobs factory chemical explosion

The chemical explosion took place at a factory on Teakwood Road in Jacobs.

THREE people sustained inhalation burns following a chemical explosion at a factory on Teakwood Road in Jacobs, last night (Tuesday, 9 April).

Garrith Jamieson of Rescue Care Paramedics said the patients were treated on scene and taken to a nearby hospital. Metro police, the fire department and SAPS were in attendance. The cause of the chemical explosion is currently being investigated.
