AGM held at Yellowwood Park WI

As always, thoughts were shared with those who could not attend.

YELLOWWOOD Park Women’s Institute (YWP WI) president and executive member, Sharon Quail opened the annual AGM with a prayer and welcome to all members and visitors.

As always, thoughts were shared with those who could not attend.

The previous AGM minutes were taken as read and there was no correspondence. Treasurer Wendy Henderson gave a full report on the finances over the year. YWP WI is solvent, thanks as always to the fundraising by members. Fortunately the WI was able to support many charities in the area and will continue to do so.

It is planning outings to the charities that are supported, particularly Pathways and Evelyn House. The president then gave a full report of activities over the year and gifts were handed out to many members who always went the extra mile. The president was thanked by vice president, Robyn Murray for all she had helped achieve during the year.

After tea it was time to vote for office bearers for the coming year. Fortunately the present president and committee all were in favour of remaining for another year. Very grateful thanks to those members and to Sheila Philogene who has joined the committee. Very special thanks to Sean, Rob, Derreck and Ilse who continuously do Meals on Wheels every month. Keep in mind the Royal Show and Congress this year. Social hostess, Vanessa Wilesmith kept everyone in touch with the activities of members and the birthdays for the month. Raffles were drawn and competition results read by the vice president. As always judge Linda Melson had some important points to add to the competition results. Try to have competition entries for April at the meeting by mid afternoon.

The meeting closed with a prayer and to go well, take care and above all stay safe.
