FOUR suburban roads on the Bluff have had speed humps installed.

A six-week assessment was conducted by eThekwini Transport Authority (ETA) to determine whether Boynes Road, Hollesley Road, Dover Road andGrenville Road qualified for traffic calming measures as per the city’s traffic calming policy. Some of the requirements included determining the clarification of the road, road safety aspects and traffic volumes along each of the roads.

Based on the successful outcomes of the assessment, ETA proceeded to install traffic calming measures along each of these roads.

The project was overseen by the appointed community liaison officer Cairyne Erwin, ward committee chairman for small business development Charles Mouradi and two locally employed Bluff residents Thulani Lungumo and Nomusa Chillaz.
