Bikers donate the gift of life

Monsters Motorcycling Club (MMC) came out in their numbers to donate blood on Saturday, 9 March at Wanderers Kitchen in Montclair.

COMMITTED to participating in a vital community service to improve the quality of life for patients in need, were members of the Monsters Motorcycling Club (MMC), who came out in their numbers to donate blood on Saturday, 9 March at Wanderers Kitchen in Montclair.

MMC club president, Spike Arendse said that since last year, the club has been making it part of their mission to donate blood in the holiday season, particularly around Easter and Christmas time, when the blood stocks are critically low.

“Although I never needed a blood transfusion, it’s something that is close to my heart and the club and I have come to understand just how important it is to donate blood,” said Arendse. The father of two said that he hopes his children will also follow in his footsteps when it comes to this initiative. He also encourages the community to donate not only because it is a good deed, but because it could help save someone’s life.
