TRAFFIC ALERT: Gridlock grips Montclair

Motorists are trying all alternatives to get out of the area and causing more traffic.

MOTORISTS entering or leaving Montclair are warned to be cautious on the suburb’s roads this morning, as gridlock has caused traffic to grind to a halt.
A truck is lying on its side near the vegetable oil refinery in South Coast Road, Mobeni and there is a car which has broken down near the vet in Wood Road, which are the only identifiable causes of the gridlock which has gripped the area from about 7am today (Tuesday,19 February).

Vehicles are driving into oncoming traffic and ignoring traffic lights, creating more chaos and worsening the gridlock. Motorists are trying all alternatives to get out of the area and causing more traffic.

Roads affected are Roland Chapman, Ronald Road, Kenyon Howden North and South is reported to be clear, Montclair Road, Wood Road to name a few. Yellowwood Park was also affected by heavy traffic.
