BREAKING NEWS: Child’s skeletal remains uncovered on Durban’s Bluff

Updates to follow as more information comes to light.

EMERGENCY services have been called out to the site of a water treatment plant which is under construction at the end of Marine Drive, Bluff, where excavations uncovered skeletal remains which are believed to be that of a child.

Durban Search and Rescue, Metro Police Search and Rescue and Life Response EMS members were called out to the scene on Monday afternoon, 18 February, after construction workers who were excavating at the site discovered the remains.

Last year on Tuesday, 11 December a similiar discovery was made on a Bluff property where skeletal remains found Serowe Road the remains were estimated to be between 90 and 100-years-old.

Workers made the shocking discovery of a human skeleton at a depth of about a meter-and-a-half while they were digging a trench.
