UPDATE: Bluff skeletal find could be a century old

An inquest was opened at the Brighton Beach police station

THE human skeletal remains found on a Bluff property in Serowe Road on Tuesday, 11 December are estimated to be between 90 and 100-years-old.

Workers made the shocking discovery of a human skeleton at a depth of about a metre-and-a-half while they were digging a trench.

Security company PT Alarms and the SAPS search and rescue team were called to the scene by the owner of the premises, who was advised by the workers to investigate the findings.

An inquest was opened at the Brighton Beach police station for investigation.
