Competitors gear up for Ugu Bodyboarding Trials

Ugu Bodyboarding's second round of trials will be held on Sunday, 2 December at Pennington, starting at 6am.

THE second round of the Ugu Bodyboarding Trials will be held on Sunday, 2 December at Pennington, starting at 6am.

Competitors will be giving it their all in an effort to earn a spot on the team to compete at the national championships next year.

Venter explained that the various bodyboarding associations are all having trials at the moment, which is in preparation for the upcoming SA champs to be held in Port Alfred next year over the Easter weekend.

Families and friends of competitors are urged to come on down to the trails and support the wave action on show. Bodyboarders are to note that its still possible to make the team at this stage. The association would especially like to invite more female riders to participate. If you’re interested in trying out and would like to compete in trials, contact team manager Byron Gertze on 084-406-0359.
