WEATHER REPORT: Cold weather set to hit Durban

Bring out your winter coats, it's going to be a cold week ahead.

Brace yourselves as cold weather is predicted to hit our shores this week.

 

What seemed to be a beautiful sunny day this Tuesday, kicking off with 30 degrees, will later turn into a  dull and rainy evening and temperatures are said to drop to 16 degrees with a 66 per cent chance of rain.

The cold weather will continue throughout the week with Wednesday sitting at 18 degrees with a 76 per cent chance of rain in the day and 16 degrees by night time with a 71 per cent chance of rain.

Thursday brings chances of clouds and thunderstorms with temperatures dropping to 15 degrees in the evening.

It might be a dull week but that gives us a good reason to look forward to a bright and sunny weekend.  Friday sees the sun breaking through the clouds and continues to warm up throughout Saturday and Sunday with highest reaching 29 degrees for some family time outdoors.

 

If you have to drive in bad weather, remember to keep your lights on and make sure your windshield wipers are in tip-top shape.
