The news of his return was what she had prayed for and she was delighted to know that nothing bad had happened to him. “He boarded the wrong taxi and ended up past La Lucia, so he tried walking and I think got lost along the way. A friend of my son-in-law was driving in La Lucia when he saw Brent sitting at the post office and asked his name. When he called to tell me the news (of Brent’s discovery), all I wanted was to hear his voice. Only then could I be sure,” she said smiling.

She thanked the community for being so active in the search for her son who disappeared on Thursday, 11 October. “Words can’t describe how grateful I am for the community, my friends and neighbours who went out of their way to help and shared his picture online. Without them, he wouldn’t have been found,” she added.

The community members organised a taxi to scour the area and printed flyers which they distributed to help find Brent.
