Bluff PHC Clinic committee seeks young volunteer committee members

There are two empty volunteer positions for youth representatives.

BLUFF primary healthcare (PHC) clinic committee has youth positions available.

Clinic committees are health governance structures which were created to provide an avenue for communities to give input and feedback into the planning, delivery and organisation of health services.

They also have an oversight role in the development and implementation of health policies and provision of equitable health services.

Legislated by the National Health Act of 2003, the committees are made up of a combination of community and civil society representatives and health professionals of each area. They allow community concerns to be elevated through the structures from local to district to provincial and finally to national.

The recently formed Bluff (ward 66) Clinic Committee has two empty volunteer positions for youth representatives.

The clinic committee needs you if:

  • You are between 18 and 24-years-old

  • To act as a link between the youth and social workers where needed.
  • To act as outreach to the LGBT youth in our community.
