As an unsaturated fatty acid, ricinoleic acid found in castor oil has many healing abilities.

WE have all been through it. When we experience the smallest sign of illness or an upset stomach, mothers grab a bottle of castor oil to pour it down our throats.

 

As much as we fought back at the very thought of the gross taste of it, it worked and we have to think maybe our dear mothers knew a thing or two.
