Stuck in a rut? Find your passion again

Find something that helps bring back the importance to your life and get you out of your rut.

Do you feel stuck in your job, all the passion you had for your career has fizzled out because of low staff morale, because of more work and low pay?

We have all been there. Some of us are going through it now and feel there is no way out. But the only person who can help you is yourself. Find something that helps bring back the importance to your life and get you out of your rut.

Write it down: It might not be easy to talk to others about your feelings about work but it might help for you to write it down every time you feel in doubt. Jot down the goals that you want to achieve in the next six months or year.

Dream: Don’t forget that you have dreams, so start working on them. Have you lost yourself along the way because you became all about the work and less about your dream? Work on yourself and tell yourself you can do it. Never quit even if you fail. Just because you fail doesn’t mean you are a failure.

Choose: Choose your future and work towards it. Don’t just sit back and watch your life waste away, if you are truly unhappy, do something about it. At the end of the day it is about your needs and happiness.

Energy vampires: Think about those who suck the energy out of you every day. It might not be intentional but people feed off each other’s energy and if there are enough energy suckers, your will to carry on can be affected.

Hobbies: Find a hobby to help you become productive again. It can be as simple as working out as long as this hobby rebuilds your confidence and makes you feel good again.
