UPDATE: Police confirm Bluff bomb scare was a hoax

Members of the community must stop sending false information to the police or face the full might of the law

POLICE have confirmed that although there was a bomb scare, no bomb was found on the premises of Virgin Active gym on the Bluff yesterday, Friday, 3 August.

Police rushed to the scene when the manager received a call about a bomb having been placed in the club.

The club and mall were evacuated while police investigated and combed the scene.

A case of bomb threat was opened at Brighton Beach SAPS for further investigation.
“We appeal to members of the community to stop sending false information to the police about bomb threats. Those who are doing this will face the full might of the law,” said Lt Col Zwane.
