THE BLUFF Business Women’s Networking Group along with other KZN networking group banded together to bless Pinetown-based crisis home Open Door Crisis Care Centre (ODCCC).
The NGO, which supports victims of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse; domestic violence and child abuse; human trafficking; trauma and crime related incidents; poverty, mental, physical and psychological pain, received a collection of handbags which were filled with toiletries and other items for the women in the shelter.

The project, aptly named Handbags for Dignity, was successful due to the amount of exposure on social media, word of mouth and media which ensured support through the generosity of women across KZN.
With particular support from Bluff Business Women’s Networking Group, Tarryn Coetzee from The Yoga Studio, Lesley Forbes and Marylin Green, an astounding number of handbags were collected.
“This project has been such a success that we have decided to keep it as an ongoing project to bless new women who come into the shelter. Thank you to all who contributed,” said Sue Davidson who headed up the project.
To assist the ODCCC with the donation of a handbag, toiletries or a donation in any form, contact Lesley Forbes on Lesley.forbes@psg.co.za, or call Ann at 031-709-2679.
