This year marks Nelson Mandela’s centenarian year on 18 July and to celebrate we can do small things in our community and hopefully as the day passes we will continue performing the good deeds.

But what can you do?
CLEAN UP: IF you live near the beach or around a park that is littered, take a small bag with you (no plastic) and take a walk. Pick up any waste that you can find and clean up your area. Do it every time you visit the places and make it a habit.
VOLUNTEER: Visit your local children homes, animal centres or shelters or soup kitchens and give your time to those who are in need of love and kindness.
SPREAD LOVE: Sometime all a person needs to hear is that they matter. Call someone you think needs to be cheered up, you might save them. Visit a relative or a friend. Say hello to a stranger or even ask the cashier if they are okay. It’s the little things that make the biggest difference.
No matter what you choose to do, make it count and make it worthwhile.
