Join Bluff community upliftment drive

ver the weekend of 19 May, we will launch the first ‘Community Upliftment Drive’

By Daryl Emmanuel

MUCH of the present success of our Bluff community is linked to underlying notions of building a better community by genuinely understanding and caring for each other’s needs.
This strength and unity, coupled with the determinedly driven support of our ward councillor JP Prinsloo together with members of the ward committee and local community, have led to the privilege of participating and witnessing major improvements in community upliftment and service delivery in the last few months. There is eager expectation of more exciting projects to be rolled out over subsequent months and years.
Following on from my recent article, the street champions programme’s primary objective will be to create, facilitate and improve on existing communication structures, establishing an active community database for each zoned area and ultimately improving service delivery and security throughout the community.

Over the weekend of 19 May, we will launch the first ‘Community Upliftment Drive’ (CUD) aimed at promoting active community involvement by conducting monthly community improvement drive rounds to identify any service delivery faults and engage on future development of the entire area. Residents who are willing to volunteer to become a community champion or partake in the CUD in their area should contact Daryl Emmanuel.
Join the Bluff Community Noticeboard Facebook page for more information on the street champions programme, CUD campaign or how to get involved.
Our overall objectives are to improve communication, improve service delivery and promote active community involvement.
Let’s work together to build a safer, better brighter, beautiful Bluff today.
