Although the school does not have a proper long jump pit, Roman takes it upon himself to dig up one so Lwandle can practise. The sport has changed Lwandle’s life for the better. Living with his family in Umlazi, life is a little tough and his talents and skills in the sport have not only brought him joy and excitement but has also caught the eye of a businessman who wants to reward the young athlete for his outstanding work.

businessman Ronnie Bitudai is excited to see the growth of Lwandle

Ronnie Bitudai approached coach Roman in the hope of assisting Lwandle. “I am offering to assist with his school fees, to incentivise him to win at nationals and to supply him with training gear. I will be there to support him, every step of the way,” said Ronnie.
“I am proud of how this young man is turning out and I’m here to groom not only him but all children to achieve at their best. It is my responsibility to see Lwandle gets to the top,” added Roman.
