Squabble sees Woodlands man use gun to assault wife

Montclair SAPS arrived and arrested the man on a charge of common assault

A WOODLANDS man was arrested and charged with common assault after an alleged drunken outburst in which he brandished a gun at his wife and stepson on Thursday, 29 March.

The man arrived home in Woodlands after being dropped off at about 11.30pm.
He met his wife in the passage and she noticed that he was drunk, according to Montclair SAPS spokesman, Capt Dereck Vijiam. “He asked her for his firearm, which she told him was in the safe. He demanded that she give it to him.”
