A WOMAN was attacked with her own umbrella while selling items to bus commuters at a rank on South Coast Road, Mobeni on Saturday, 10 March.
While in the bus, an argument broke out between the woman and another person who had allegedly passed rude remarks. “She stepped off the bus and this woman followed her and forcibly took her umbrella,” said Montclair SAPS’ Capt Dereck Vijiam.

The two women struggled over the umbrella, which resulted in it breaking. The attacker allegedly took the broken umbrella and stabbed the woman in the arm and below her left ear. “The aggressor was arrested and taken into custody,” he added.
