Bluff liquor forum to share insights with industry

The meeting will take place at the Transnet auditorium at 311 Edwin Swales Drive

LIQUOR outlet owners and managers, including licensed restaurants, are invited to attend Brighton Beach police’s liquor forum meeting on Wednesday, 28 March.
Hosted by liquor officer, Warrant Officer Theo Van Noordwyk, the meeting will take place at the Transnet auditorium at 311 Edwin Swales Drive at 10am.

Aspects of the information session will include:

  • Responsibilities of traders to report criminal activities;
  • Registration as per the National Liquor Act 59/2003;
  • Stipulations of ‘on-‘ and ‘off-site’ consumption in terms of Section 78 of the KZN Liquor Act, and offences in terms of Section 93(1)(d);
  • The impact that non-compliance has on the community and businesses;
  • Business licensing;
  • Social responsibilities of liquor outlets/owners.
