Wentworth woman arrested with ecstasy, dagga

The accused was arrested and detained in Wentworth police cells

A 43-YEAR-old woman was arrested in Wentworth on Tuesday, 13 March when she was found in possession of drugs.

At about 5pm, members of the Chatsworth Crime Combating unit were conducting an intelligence-driven operation in Wentworth.

Members who had kept observation on one of the flats were rewarded for their efforts when they arrested a woman in possession of nine tablets suspected to be ecstasy, 50 small, clear plastic packets containing two grams of dagga each and five ready-made dagga fills and cash.

“The accused was arrested and detained in Wentworth police cells for possession of ecstasy and dagga. She paid bail of R1000 when she appeared in Wentworth court on Wednesday, 14 March,” said Wentworth SAPS communication officer, Capt Mbuso Gumede.
