Offering some relief to the family, the alleged shooter, Murrisson chose to plead guilty to murder during the bail hearing, while Houston’s appeal for bail was postponed while he remains in custody until Wednesday, 14 March.

On the newly launched Facebook page #JusticeforBianca, ahead of today’s court appearances the family had urged the community to join them to support their cry for justice.

Zoe Moore who chairs the ward 66 (Bluff) committee’s vulnerable group and gender sub-committee, attended the bail hearing. She said Bianca’s death was senseless and a complete disregard for her role in society as wife, mother and daughter, ” She was a woman of worth and to have her life cut so short in its prime, is sad,” she added.

Both men are due back in court on 14 March.
