Murdered Bluff woman’s family want justice

Bianca's life may have meant nothing to them but to her family, she was everything

A mother and daughter bond has been broken forever, when Bianca Parsons was killed on Saturday, 24 February.
The lives of her family changed irrevocably when they heard the news of the murder of their beloved daughter, mother and wife at a Tara Road garage.

Bianca’s death dealt a crushing blow to her family but it has also highlighted the social ills such as drugs and gangs which are ravaging the Wentworth community. A close family member who asked not to be named said Bianca meant the world to her three-year-old daughter Blair whom she gave the best of her time, attention, care and love. “Bianca was a patient and understanding mother and these qualities transcended her everyday interactions with others. She was a good mother and strived in all that she did to ensure Blair had the very best.

The essence of who Bianca was, was evident in her soft, kind and quiet demeanour.

Bianca placed family at her core and was often the glue that kept the family together,” she said.
Bianca’s loss has been felt by those who knew her, which has been evidenced by the daily visits by countless family and friends to her home since her death. “Bianca was a person who did everything by the book. She never involved herself with anything shady, she was upright and a lady in her shoes,” said the family member.

While her family mourns her death, they have tragically learnt how a person’s life is of little to no value in light of gangsterism in Wentworth. “Bianca’s life may have meant nothing to them but to her family, she was everything. The perpetrators of this crime and drug related murders live among the community of Wentworth and they are continuing the cycle of gangsterism and drugs,” said the family’s spokesman.

A Facebook group, #JusticeForBianca has been set up to emphasise the urgent need to achieve justice for her murder. The family encourages the community to attend the bail hearing on Wednesday, 7 March of two men who have been arrested for Bianca’s murder. “We want justice for Bianca so all those who are part of the drugs and gangsterism in Wentworth may know that ordinary people are not just pawns in their revenge battles but instead they are mothers, wives, daughters, aunts, sisters, colleagues, family and friends whose value can never be quantified,” she added.

Bianca will never be able to do what she loved and that’s to be with her family and spending time with her daughter, this is what truly made her most happy. “Instead she was ripped from our lives and that was not fair.”
