Repairs to the washaway site are almost complete, and the contractors are awaiting material on-site so that asphalt can be laid.

The pavement that washed away is being filled manually. The entire walkway will be removed up to the rear light pole and will be replaced with a new pavement.

“Work is moving at a fast pace and will hopefully be completed within the next few weeks,” reported ward 66 councillor, JP Prinsloo.
