Gunmen rob Clairwood businessman of R105,000

The man had withdrawn money to pay his employees' wages.

A MAN who had withdrawn R105,000 from a Montclair bank was robbed at gunpoint by four men on Saturday, 10 February.

At about 11.30am, the man had returned from Standard Bank in Montclair Mall where he had withdrawn R105,000 to pay his employees’ wages. While entering the building of his Karim Lane business premises in Clairwood, four gunmen demanded the cash. They searched him and took his cellphone and the cash. They also searched the man’s brother and supervisor and took their cellphones as well. They fled the scene in an unknown red car.
Montclair police are investigating the armed robbery.
