Motorist hijacked while refuelling car in Mobeni

The victim was physically thrown out of his vehicle

MOTORISTS are urged to stay alert and vigilant while refueling their vehicles, after a motorist was hijacked in Leicester Road, Mobeni on Wednesday, 7 February.

While the motorist was refuelling his car at a Leicester Road fuel station, he was approached by three men who got into his white VW Golf.

They threatened violence after producing a gun and knife. When they physically threw him out of the vehicle, one of the men tried to stab the motorist. They drove off in his vehicle in a southerly direction, taking the motorist’s cell phones and other items which were left behind in the car.
