Treasure Beach burglar gets more than he bargained for

The mother and daughter had seen a man inside the premises.

A MOTHER and daughter brought the law down on a prowler who was in their Treasure Beach home while they were inside on Monday, 29 January.
At about 4pm members of Wentworth SAPS’ Vispol CSC received a report of a burglary in progress.

“They were told the mother and daughter had seen a man inside the premises, prowling around the property. The officers were given a full description and began to patrol the area,” said Wentworth SAPS communication officer, Capt Mbuso Gumede.
They found a man fitting the description given and stopped and searched him. The officers discovered a laptop and an angle grinder with cutting disc in his possession, which were positively identified by the complainants.
